Location

Teshima
Teshima, located in the peaceful Seto Inland Sea, is a 14.5 km² island with a population of 800. A spring flows from Mt. Danyama in the island’s center, supporting the daily life of the island’s populace by enabling rice cultivation and farming.

The Teshima Art Museum was opened in 2010, and plays host to many visitors from Japan and overseas for the Setouchi Triennale.
IEURA HAMA area
SHIROI RYO is located in the IEURA HAMA area, just a walk away from Teshima’s Ieura Port. This village, with its rows of classic Japanese houses, somehow has a nostalgic feeling like returning home, no matter where you come from. Wandering around the area, you will find the peaceful beaches and Ieura Hachiman shrine, as calls of the mountain’s birds echo on the wind. The elderly residents of the island chat away in the island’s small lanes. Experience the feeling of good old-fashioned island life.
